Santa Fe Trail

Japanese: サンタ・フェ街道 - サンタフェかいどう(英語表記)Santa Fe Trail
Santa Fe Trail
The most famous trade route in the American Southwest. It was a 1,300 km road from the town of Independence on the Missouri River to Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the caravan journey took two to three months. During the Spanish colonial period, Americans were not allowed to enter Santa Fe, but after Mexican independence in 1821, the town was opened to American traders. They brought industrial products such as textiles and metal tools, and traded them for Mexican silver, silver products, furs, and pottery, making huge profits.
