Chimaki (Chimaki) - Chimaki

Japanese: ちまき(粽) - ちまき
Chimaki (Chimaki) - Chimaki
A type of mochi made by kneading rice flour or glutinous rice flour, wrapping it in bamboo leaves, Imperata cylindrica, or Manchu rice leaves into a triangle, tying it with rush grass, and steaming it. There are also Uiro, Kuzu, and Yokan dumplings. It is an offering for the Boys' Festival, but it was originally an offering to the water god in China, but it became linked to the story of Qu Yuan, who threw himself into the depths of the Miluo River, and became an offering to appease his spirit on May 5th, the anniversary of his death.
