Tamanomidorigai (Tamano green shell) - Tamanomidorigai (English spelling) bivalved snail
A gastropod of the Acropora family. It has two shells and looks similar to a bivalve. The shell is pale yellow-green, 8 mm long, 4 mm high, and 1 mm wide, and is flat on both sides. When young, it has a rolled shell, but as it grows, the left shell becomes wide and flat, with the original rolled embryonic shell attached on top. A secondary, identical right shell forms on the right side when it becomes an adult. Muscles are located in the center and connect the left and right shells. The soft body is long and slender, with a pair of antennae on the head and eyes located behind their base. The soles of the feet are flat, and the mouth has a row of knife-shaped teeth, indicating that it is a gastropod.
