Born: July 9, 1889 in Liege [Died] August 15, 1971. Leuven. Belgian legal philosopher. Studied at the University of Liage and became a professor, and taught at the University of Leuven from 1922. Founded in Neo-Thomism, he was characterized by his view of natural law only in an ethical or political sense, and his denial of natural law as law.
