A town in the Semboku district in the southern part of Osaka Prefecture. It is located between Kishiwada and Izumi-otsu, facing Osaka Bay. The textile industry has been thriving here since ancient times, with factories producing cotton spinning, bleaching, dyeing, blankets, and knitted goods.
