A neurosis that occurs in the military during wartime, especially in frontline combat units. Hysterical reactions account for the majority of cases. When dealing with war neurosis, it is considered important to consider how to give leave and rotate soldiers based on what kind of situation will cause a psychological breakdown, and for how long, rather than considering the types of soldiers who are prone to psychological breakdown. In addition to acute combat reactions that occur on the battlefield (loss of appetite, insomnia, confusion, fainting, etc.), there are also delayed reactions that occur after returning to civilian life (nightmares, apathy, etc.).
