A commentary and critique of the Taiheiki. 40 volumes. It was probably created in the early modern period with the involvement of Daiun'in Yoo and others. It adds commentary on the main chapters of the Taiheiki from the perspectives of military strategy and ethics, and provides supplementary explanations of alternative versions and behind-the-scenes stories. It is considered a foundational text for the Kusunoki school of military strategy, and also includes a unique theory on the origin of the Taiheiki. In the early modern period, lectures on the Rijinsho, which explained and imparted this book to the samurai class, were held in Kanazawa and elsewhere, and were also used in early lectures on the Taiheiki.
