New summary of Daigoji Temple

Japanese: 醍醐寺新要録 - だいごじしんようろく

This is a compilation of historical materials related to Daigoji Temple from the early Heian period, when Daigoji Temple was founded, until around 1608 (Keicho 13). It consists of 22 volumes. It was compiled by the 80th Daigoji chief priest, Zasyuen. It is divided into 14 sections, such as the Introduction and the Temple Buildings, and each section is further divided into chapters, categories, and sections. Many diaries and documents are quoted, and along with the Daigozojiki, it is a basic reference for learning about the organization, ceremonies, manors, etc. of Daigoji Temple. It was published by the Kyoto Prefectural Board of Education in three volumes: upper, middle, and lower.

醍醐寺が創建された平安初期から1608年(慶長13)ころまでの醍醐寺関係の史料を類聚編纂した書。全22巻。編者は醍醐寺第80代座主義演（ぎえん）。濫觴（らんしよう）部，伽藍（がらん）部など14部に大別され，さらに各部は篇･類･段に細分される。多くの日記･文書が引用され，《醍醐雑事記（だいごぞうじき）》と並んで醍醐寺の組織，法会（ほうえ），荘園等を知る上での基本文献。京都府教育委員会から上･中･下の三巻本として公刊された。
