Taian - Daian

Japanese: 大安 - だいあん

This area is located in northern Mie Prefecture, on the right bank of the midstream of the Inabe River, and on the eastern slope of the Suzuka Mountains. Former town name. In 1956, Ishigure Village and Nyukawa Village were merged to form Ishika Village. In 1959, Umedoi Town and Misato Village were merged to form Taian Town. In 1963, Taian Town and Ishika Village were merged to form a town. In December 2003, it merged with Hokusei, Inabe, and Fujiwara to form Shiinabe City. Development is long ago, and the former town name comes from the fact that it was once the land of Daian-ji Temple in Nara. The eastern part is an agricultural area, mainly rice paddies and tea plantations. The hills at the foot of the mountains are being developed into factories and housing. In the western part is Ugakei, famous for its beautiful valley, which has become a hiking trail. The mountainous area of the area belongs to Suzuka Quasi-National Park. The Sangi Railway runs along the Inabe River. National Highways 306 and 421 intersect at Ishiguro.

三重県北部，員弁 (いなべ) 川中流右岸，鈴鹿山脈東斜面に広がる地域。旧町名。 1956年石榑 (いしぐれ) 村，丹生川村が合体，石加村設置。 1959年梅戸井町，三里村が合体して大安町設置。 1963年大安町と石加村が合体し町制。 2003年 12月北勢，員弁，藤原の3町と合併しいなべ市となった。開発は古く，旧町名はかつて奈良の大安寺領であったことに由来。東部は水田と茶園を主とする農業地帯。山麓の丘陵地は工場用地化，宅地化が進んでいる。西部には渓谷美で有名な宇賀渓があり，ハイキングコースとなっている。地域の山岳部は鈴鹿国定公園に属する。員弁川に沿って三岐鉄道が通る。国道 306号線，421号線が石榑で交差する。
