[1] [Noun] ① A deciduous tree of the Hamamelidaceae family. It is found in Asia Minor. It can reach a height of 10 meters. The leaves are long and palmately lobed into three to five lobes, with sawtooth edges on each lobe. It is monoecious. It produces small, unisexual, pale yellow-green flowers in a spherical shape. Its resin is called Sugo-koh (Sugo oil or Sugo oil) and is used as a medicine for skin diseases such as scabies . [Items and Names (1809)] ② The name of an incense. A fragrance made from the resin extracted from the bark of ①. Also, an oil ointment made from the bark of ①. Used as a medicine for skin diseases.
