Zokuriyama - Zokurisan

A mountain in central Korea (Republic of Korea). Its highest peak is Emperor Peak (1,057m). Due to its granite geology, it has been weathered and eroded, and is a famous mountain that is counted among the Eight Scenic Views of Korea, and is also called Little Kongo. The entire mountain is covered in mixed forests, and there are temples such as Beopjusa Temple, Sanghanam Temple, and Bokseom Temple, which were built 1,400 years ago and are said to be the first temple in the west of Lake Biwa, and they create a beautiful harmony between nature and man-made things. The 105 square kilometer area around Songnisan was designated a national park in March 1970, and it is popular with tourists from both Japan and abroad.

韓国（大韓民国）、中部にある山。最高峰は天皇峰（1057メートル）。花崗(かこう)岩地質のため風化侵食が進み、韓国八景の一つに数えられる名山で小金剛ともいわれる。混合林が全山樹海をなし、山中に1400年前に建立された湖西第一伽藍(がらん)といわれる法住寺、上歓庵(あん)、福泉庵など寺院があり、自然と人工の調和が美しい。俗離山一帯105平方キロメートルは1970年3月に国立公園として指定され、内外の観光客が多い。
