[raw]? [Died] Emperor Hui 5 (190 BC) A meritorious vassal of Emperor Gaozu of the Western Han Dynasty in China. It is also commonly read as "Soushin." He was a prison guard in Pei (Pei County, Jiangsu Province), but when Liu Bang raised an army, he followed him and defeated Qin troops in various places, making a great contribution to the unification of the Han Dynasty. After Liu Bang ascended to the throne, he was made prime minister of Liu Fei, King of Qi, and was given the title of Marquis of Pingyang in the reward system for his achievements. In the second year of Emperor Hui's reign (193 B.C.), when Xiao He died, he became chancellor of the Han Dynasty. While prime minister of Qi, he was taught the ways of Huang Lao by Gaigong and carried out Taoist policy of non-action.
