Sanganjima

An uninhabited island with a circumference of 4km in the Pacific Ocean, located in the eastern part of Iwate Prefecture, northeast of Kamaishi City. It is home to many warm-climate trees, and is designated as a national natural monument as a breeding ground for Sankanjima streaked shearwaters and little black storm petrels. 岩手県東部，釜石市の北東方，太平洋上にある周囲 4kmの無人島。暖地性のタブノキが多く，「三貫島オオミズナギドリおよびヒメクロウミツバメ繁殖地」として国の天然記念物に指定されている。三陸復興国立公園の探勝地の一つ。
