An uninhabited island with a circumference of 4km in the Pacific Ocean, located in the eastern part of Iwate Prefecture, northeast of Kamaishi City. It is home to many warm-climate trees, and is designated as a national natural monument as a breeding ground for Sankanjima streaked shearwaters and little black storm petrels.
