Glandular fever

It is an acute infectious disease caused by several different pathogens, and is considered to be a syndrome with the main symptoms being fever, swelling of lymph nodes throughout the body, and an increase in mononuclear cells (lymphocytes) including atypical lymphocytes. Among these, glandular fever rickettsiosis (Hyuga fever, Kagami fever, etc.) caused by glandular fever rickettsiae, which are confirmed pathogens, and infectious mononucleosis caused by the EB virus, are distinguished from glandular fever syndrome.

いくつかの異なった病原体による急性感染症で、発熱、全身のリンパ節腫脹(しゅちょう)、異型リンパ球を含む単核細胞（リンパ球）の増加を主徴候とする一つの症候群とみなされている。このうち、病原体の確認された腺熱リケッチアによる腺熱リケッチア症（日向(ひゅうが)熱や鏡熱など）とEBウイルスによる伝染性単球増加症は、腺熱症候群から区別されている。
