Japanese: セノイ族 - セノイぞく（英語表記）Senoi

An indigenous people who live mainly in the central part of the Malay Peninsula, as well as on the island of Sumatra. They are also called the Sakai. They are characterized by dark skin and short stature, and are classified as Negrito. Their language belongs to the Austroasiatic family. They are a hunter-gatherer people with little sedentary life, and wander through the tropical primeval forests in groups of a few or a dozen families, but an increasing number of them are also farmers. In terms of religion, they practice shamanism. (→Orang Asli)
