Setouchi climate - Setouchi climate

One of the climate types in Japan, centered on the Seto Inland Sea coastal region. It is a type of Pacific coastal climate. Surrounded by mountains on all sides, it is a region with little rain in Japan, although it does rain in spring, the rainy season, and typhoon season. There is also a lot of sunlight, so there is a lot of evapotranspiration, and droughts occur frequently in the summer, making it a relatively dry inland basin type climate.

瀬戸内海沿岸地方を中心とする、日本の気候類型の一つ。太平洋岸式気候の一種である。四周を山地に囲まれ、春、梅雨季、台風季には雨も降るが日本の寡雨地帯であり、日射も多いことから、蒸発散も多く夏には干害も頻発する相対的な乾燥内陸盆地型の気候である。
