A science that understands disease and death phenomena that primarily occur in groups in relation to regions. However, during the formation of the science, it did not necessarily have a clear character, and it has also been called disease geography, geographic medicine, or geographic pathology. In recent years, the term "geography of health" has also been used, as it seeks to understand a wide range of medical phenomena from a geographical perspective. Unlike clinical medicine, the goal is not to pursue purely medical aspects such as the cause and symptoms of each disease, but rather to clarify the geographical conditions that affect these and to comprehensively understand the relationships between these and disease phenomena.
