Japanese: 生活療法 - せいかつりょうほう

This is an expanded form of occupational therapy used as a means of social rehabilitation (rehabilitation) for the mentally disabled. It is also a learned behavior that improves the loss of sociality caused by long-term treatment. It can also be used as a treatment for schizophrenic patients who become autistic or idle due to their condition. Lifestyle therapy (there is no corresponding European term) is a general term for a series of approaches to patients, starting with lifestyle guidance aimed at improving daily living attitudes, i.e. guidance on activities of daily living such as getting up, washing, eating, dressing, and bathing, as well as recreational therapy, occupational therapy, and pre-vocational training.

精神障害者の社会復帰(リハビリテーション)の手段に用いられる作業療法を拡大した療法。長期療養による社会性の喪失を改善させる学習行動でもある。精神分裂病者などでは病状により自閉的になったり，無為の状態で過ごす者があるが，その治療手段ともなる。日常生活態度の改善を目標とする生活指導，すなわち，起床，洗面，食事，更衣，入浴等の日常生活動作の指導にはじまり，レクリエーション療法，作業療法，前職業訓練などを含む一連の患者への働きかけを総括して生活療法(これに該当する欧語はない)と名づけている。
