Suleiman [I] - Suleiman

Japanese: スレイマン[1世] - スレイマン
Suleiman [I] - Suleiman
Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. He succeeded his father, Selim I, in 1520. His 46-year reign was the height of the empire's prosperity. Domestically, he established the feudal system, education system, and legal system, and increased the size of the regular army, bringing about a flourishing of the literary world. Diplomatically, he launched 13 expeditions, beginning with the capture of Belgrade in 1521 and Rhodes in 1522, and in particular the siege of Vienna in 1529, which shocked the European world. He had a major voice in European politics in the mid-16th century.
