Prince Sumiyoshi - Prince Sumiyoshi

A son of Emperor Nintoku who appears in the Kojiki and Nihonshoki. His mother was Iwanohime no Mikoto. After the death of Emperor Nintoku, he plotted to kill his older brother, the Crown Prince (later Emperor Richu), by setting fire to the Crown Prince's palace, but the Crown Prince escaped to Isonokami Shrine. Later, he was assassinated by a Hayato sashihire (a swordsman) on the orders of the Crown Prince's younger brother (later Emperor Hanzei).
