Aomori Plain - Aomori Heiya

A plain in the center of Aomori Prefecture. It covers an area of ​​170 square kilometers. It stretches from Asamushi on the southwestern tip of the Natsudomari Peninsula in the east to Sotogahama Town in Higashitsugaru County on the east coast of the Tsugaru Peninsula in the west, forming a crescent moon shape surrounding Aomori Bay. The plain is low-lying, with the Arakawa, Komagome River, and Nouchi River dissecting the plateau to the south before flowing north and emptying into Aomori Bay. Aomori City is in the center of the plain, but rice fields spread out around it.

青森県の中央部にある平野。面積170平方キロメートル。東は夏泊(なつどまり)半島南西端の浅虫(あさむし)付近、西は津軽半島東岸の東津軽(ひがしつがる)郡外ヶ浜(そとがはま)町付近までで、青森湾を囲んで半月状をしている。平野は低平で、荒川、駒込(こまごめ)川、野内(のない)川が南方の台地を開析しながら北流し、青森湾に注ぐ。平野の中心は青森市街であるが、周辺部は水田が広がっている。
