Hydrometeorology - Suimonkisho
Also known as hydrometeorology. A branch of applied meteorology that deals with the mechanisms of water circulation, such as precipitation, river water levels, runoff and storage, evapotranspiration, and groundwater, as well as the development and utilization of water resources and flood control. Estimating maximum possible precipitation, snowfall, rainfall, river flow, hourly average precipitation, etc. is important for dam construction, operation of hydraulic facilities, and disaster prevention.
