Water column meter - Water column meter
A unit of pressure. The symbol is mH 2 O or mAq. 1mH 2 O = 9806.65 Pa (pascal). It means the pressure equivalent to a 1m column of water with a density of 1×10 3 kg/m 3 at the standard acceleration of gravity. In the past, the density was defined as 999.972 kg/m 3 , so there is a slight difference between the old and new definitions. It does not belong to the International System of Units (SI). → Meter of mercury
