Japanese: 鐘巻 - かねまき

[1] [Noun ] A bell-shaped arrow with a thin top and thick bottom, similar to the arrowhead of a frog ( Teijo Miscellany (c. 1784)). One theory is that it is a bell-shaped arrow with a jindo arrow or a frog eye pattern ( Igo Shui-sho (1422)). ※Haikai and Hikai Dokuginshu (1666), Vol. 1: "The shadow of a giant snake that I think of, the shadow of a man who is overcome by sorrow, is the kanemaki of a man who is overcome by sorrow (Moritake)" [2] Noh play. Fourth piece. Discontinued. Author unknown. Original song of "Dojoji" . Also known as the bell-wrapped Dojoji.

[1] 〘名〙蟇目(ひきめ)の矢の沓巻(くつまき)のところを、上細く下太く、鐘状に巻いたもの（貞丈雑記（1784頃））。一説に、神頭(じんどう)の矢又は蟇目の刻目(きざみめ)を巻いたもの（射御拾遺抄（1422））。※俳諧・誹諧独吟集（1666）上「おもふあたりは大蛇すむかげ人はこで憂入相のかねまきに〈守武〉」[2] 謡曲。四番目物。廃曲。作者不詳。「道成寺(どうじょうじ)」の原曲。別名、鐘巻道成寺。
