Japanese: 心血管造影法 - しんけっかんぞうえいほう（英語表記）cardioangiography

An examination method to determine cardiac function and hemodynamics. A contrast agent with low radiolucency is injected into the cardiac cavity or blood vessels, and the positive image obtained by X-ray irradiation is recorded on film, videotape, or disk to observe the morphological changes in the target area and the flow of the contrast agent. There are two types of angiography: intravenous angiography and selective angiography. In intravenous angiography, a needle is placed in the cubital or femoral veins of both arms, and a total of 40 to 50 ml of contrast agent is rapidly injected to observe the overall flow of the right cardiac system from the vena cava to the right atrium, right ventricle, and pulmonary artery, and the left cardiac system from the pulmonary veins to the left atrium, left ventricle, aorta, and large arteries.

心機能や血行動態を知るための検査法の一つ。心臓の内腔あるいは血管内にX線透過度の低い造影剤を注入し，X線照射によって得られる陽性像をフィルムやビデオテープ，ディスクなどに記録し，目的とする部位の形態的変化および造影剤の流れのようすを観察する。静脈性心血管造影法と選択的心血管造影法とがある。静脈性心血管造影法は，両腕の肘静脈あるいは大腿静脈に針を留置して，総量40～50mlの造影剤を急速に注入し，大静脈から右心房，右心室，肺動脈に至る右心系，および肺静脈から左心房，左心室，大動脈，太い動脈に至る左心系の全体的な流れを観察する方法である。
