Small construction magistrate - Kobushinbugyo

An office system in the Edo Shogunate. It is said to have originated with the appointment of Kosuge Iemon in 1685 (Jokyo 2). It was abolished in 1712 (Shotoku 2), but was re-established in 1717 (Kyoho 2), and continued until the end of the Edo period. After the re-establishment, the office was limited to two people with a salary of 2,000 koku, and was appointed as Jugōigeshodaibu (Jugōigeshodaibu) of the Fifth Rank and was under the control of the Wakadoshiyori. Their duties included the construction and repair of Honmaru, Nishimaru, Ooku, Ninomaru, Sanmaru, Hama Goten, Momijiyama Toshogu Shrine, its mausoleum, Kan'ei-ji Temple, Zojoji Temple, Shinagawa Tokai-ji Temple, Ikegami Honmonji Temple, and Denso-yashiki, and they were divided into Motokata, who were responsible for procuring the necessary items, and Haraikata, who were responsible for receiving and distributing the procured items.

江戸幕府の職制。1685年(貞享2)小菅伊右衛門(こすげいえもん)を任じたのが起源とされる。その後1712年(正徳2)に廃止されたが、1717年(享保2)に再度設置され、以後幕末まで続いた。再置後の定員は2名で役高2000石、従五位下諸大夫(じゅごいげしょだいぶ)に叙任され、若年寄支配に属した。本丸、西丸、大奥、二丸、三丸、浜御殿、紅葉山(もみじやま)東照宮、同御霊屋(みたまや)、寛永寺、増上寺、品川東海寺、池上本門寺(いけがみほんもんじ)、伝奏屋敷(でんそうやしき)などの普請・修復を職務とし、所要物品の調達にあたる元方(もとかた)と、調達品の受け取りと配分にあたる払方(はらいかた)とに分かれていた。
