Shiro Tanbo (English: Shiro Tanbo)

Japanese: 四郎探母 - しろうたんぼ（英語表記）Sì láng tàn mǔ

A Chinese Peking Opera piece. Yang Ling Gong's fourth son, Shiro, was captured by the Liao Dynasty and married Princess Tiejing 15 years later. Hearing that his younger brother, Liulang, was leading the Song army and was in Feihuyu with their mother, She Taijun, he confessed his true feelings to his wife, saying that he wanted to meet her. The Princess obtained an arrow from the Empress Mother to pass through the barrier and gave it to her husband within a set time. Shiro went to the Song Camp and had a brief reunion with his relatives. This masterpiece, which consists of five scenes - Sitting in the Palace, Stealing the Law, Leaving the Pass, Seeing His Mother, and Returning the Law - is similar to Chushingura in Japan and is also known as the Peking Opera's "Dokujintang."

中国の，京劇の演目。楊令公の第4子四郎は遼に捕らえられ，鉄鏡公主と結婚し15年たった。弟の六郎が宋軍を率い，母佘（しや）太君と飛虎峪（ひこよく）にいると聞き，ひと目会ってきたいと妻の公主に真情を告げる。公主は関門通過のための令箭（れいせん）を母后から入手し，時間を限って夫に渡す。四郎は宋営に赴き，肉親と束の間の対面を果たす。坐宮･盗令･出関･見母･回令の五場より成り，わが忠臣蔵に似て京劇の〈独参湯（どくじんとう）〉ともいわれる名劇。
