It is a high-grade organic pigment derived from anthraquinone, and in general many of them are made by converting anthraquinone-derived vat dyes into pigments through a special pigmentation process. For example, indanthrene is a well-known blue vat dye, but as a fine powder it can be used as a high-grade blue pigment with various high fastnesses. The disadvantage of this type of high-grade pigment is that its coloring strength is somewhat low. [Arai Yoshie] Source: Heibonsha World Encyclopedia, 2nd Edition Information |
