Shiribetsu River

It is a river that flows through the Shiribeshi Regional Development Bureau in southwest Hokkaido. It is a first-class river. It is 126 km long and has a drainage area of ​​1,640 square km. It originates in the mountainous area on the border between Sapporo and Date, bypasses Mount Yotei, flows west along the southern foot of Niseko Annupuri, and empties into the Sea of ​​Japan at Rankoshi-cho. From the mouth of the river up to 20 km upstream, it is a rice paddy area, and potatoes, asparagus, beans, etc. are cultivated in the cultivated land.

北海道南西部、後志(しりべし)総合振興局管内を流れる川。一級河川。延長126キロメートル、流域面積1640平方キロメートル。札幌市と伊達(だて)市の境界の山地に源を発し、羊蹄山(ようていざん)を迂回(うかい)し、ニセコアンヌプリ南麓(なんろく)を西流して蘭越町(らんこしちょう)で日本海に注ぐ。河口から20キロメートル上流までは水田地帯をなし、耕地ではジャガイモ、アスパラガス、豆類などを栽培している。
