Ando Morinari

Japanese: 安藤守就 - あんどうもりなり

?-1582 A military commander from the Sengoku to Oda-Toyotomi period.
Lord of Godo Castle in Mino (Gifu Prefecture). He became a senior vassal of the Saito clan, and was known as one of the Three Mino Leaders along with Ujiie Naomoto and Inaba Ittetsu. He later served under Oda Nobunaga, but was banished in 1571 because his son Hisanari was a renegade samurai who had connections with Takeda Shingen. Taking advantage of Nobunaga's sudden death, he attempted to retake Godo Castle, but was attacked by Ittetsu and was defeated and killed on June 8, 1571. His surname was originally Iga. His other given names were Noritoshi and Sadaharu.

美濃(みの)(岐阜県)河渡(ごうど)城主。斎藤氏の重臣となり,氏家直元,稲葉一鉄とともに美濃三人衆といわれる。のち織田信長に属するが,子の尚就(ひさなり)が武田信玄に通じた廉(かど)で,天正(てんしょう)8年追放される。信長の横死に乗じ河渡城を奪回しようとするが,一鉄に攻められ,10年6月8日敗死。姓ははじめ伊賀。名は別に範俊(のりとし),定治。
