Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales - Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales

Japanese:
Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales - Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales
A collection of fairy tales by Andersen. He wrote over 150 fairy tales and stories over a period of about 40 years, starting when he was about 30 years old, including "The Emperor's New Clothes," "The Ugly Duckling," "The Snow Queen," and "The Little Match Girl." The stories are set in a fantasy world where supernatural giants (trolls), fairies, and witches play an active role, and plants, animals, and inanimate objects speak like humans. They are written vividly using simple expressions that even children can understand, and a mixture of spoken language, and are full of humor, pathos, and wit. Some of his works are based on folk tales and historical facts, but many of his creations are connected to the author's deep insight and inner experiences. It can be said that "The Little Mermaid" was born from his repeated heartbreak, and "The Red Shoes," which has the theme of the intense vitality of humans, was born from the image of his sister Karen (even if it was unconscious).
