Japanese: 将軍後見職 - しょうぐんこうけんしょく

A shogunate position in the late Edo period. In 1862, the shogunate accepted the demands of the pro-imperial, anti-foreign faction to appoint Hitotsubashi Yoshinobu as guardian of the shogun and Matsudaira Yoshinaga as chief advisor as part of the shogunate government reforms, and appointed Yoshinobu as guardian of the shogun. In 1864, Yoshinobu was transferred to the position of commander-in-chief of the Imperial Guard and the position was abolished.

江戸末期の幕府の役職。1862年幕府は尊皇攘夷(じょうい)派の，幕政改革の一として，一橋慶喜を将軍後見職に，松平慶永(よしなが)を大老に登用するようにとの要求を入れ，慶喜を将軍後見職に任じた。1864年慶喜が禁裏守衛総督に転じ廃職。
