Zhou Liang-gong (English name)

A Chinese scholar and man of letters in the early Qing Dynasty. Born in Xiangfu, Henan Province. His courtesy name was Yuanliang. He rose to the position of inspector-general during the Ming Dynasty, but later defected to the Qing Dynasty and took part in the suppression of anti-Qing forces in Fujian. He excelled in poetry and prose, and was also knowledgeable in calligraphy, painting, and seal carving. He wrote such works as "Reading Painting Records," "Postscripts to Lai Gu Tang's Calligraphy and Paintings," "Biographies of the Yin People," and "Records of the Selection of Writing Images."

中国，清初の学者，文学者。河南省祥符の人。字，元亮。明朝で監察御史にまでなったが，清にくだり，福建で抗清軍の鎮圧にあたった。詩文にすぐれ，また書画，篆刻に詳しく，『読画録』『頼古堂書画跋』『印人伝』『書影択録』などの著がある。
