A mountain in the central west of Irian Jaya, Indonesia. During the Dutch colonial period it was called Mount Carstens, and after independence it was called Mount Soekarno. It was given its current name in 1969. It is 5,030m above sea level. It is the main peak in the Sudirman (formerly Nassau) mountain range that forms the backbone of New Guinea.
