The title of a book included in the Old Testament Pseudo-Scriptures and the New Testament Apocrypha. Probably of Iranian origin, this forgery imitates the oracles of the Sibylla, a female prophet revered in ancient Greece and Rome. It is written in Homeric hexagram. It was created, edited, and expanded by Jews in the Diaspora, mainly in Egypt, since the 2nd century BC, and by Christians from the mid-2nd century AD to the early 3rd century AD. Books 3 to 5 are the Jewish section, books 6 to 8 are the Christian section, and books 1 and 2 are Christian additions to Jewish documents.
