…Originally, Krishna was a warrior strategist and hero worshipped by the Yadava tribe, a nomadic tribe in North India, outside of Brahmanism. His mother's name was Devaki. This Krishna worship was mixed with the Babysdeva worship of another tribe, the Vrishni tribe, and was further integrated with the religion of Gopala (the shepherd) of the Abhira tribe, forming a powerful sect.
