Wabunso - Shitori no Sho

This manor was established in Wabun-go, Kume-gun, Mimasaka Province (Wamyo-sho) as part of the territory of Kyoto Kamo Wakeikazuchi Shrine (Kamigamo Shrine). It is identified with the area around the Wabun River basin in present-day Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture. It is unclear when it was established or how it became the territory of Kamigamo Shrine, but in 1184 it was part of the shrine's territory. Initially, the priest held the position of lord, and his family members were appointed as azukaridokoro (custodian of the shrine), but after the 14th century, the priest generally passed on the right to the entire domain. In 1360, the position of kumon was held by Wabun Awa-no-kami, but in the same year, it was given to Akamatsu Sadanori, the guardian of Mimasaka Province, by Shogun Ashikaga Yoshiakira, and in 1392, the position of jito was given to his son Akenori. In the latter half of the 15th century, when the Onin War and Bunmei War occurred, the collection of annual tributes from Kamigamo Shrine was halted, but in 1489, a celebration was held to mark the arrival of the 30 kanmon annual tribute. From this time on, the control of the territory by the shugo Akamatsu clan was maintained in a relatively peaceful manner, and the collection of annual tributes stabilized, and at the beginning of the 16th century, an average of at least 66 kanmon was collected annually. In 1513, Okawara Masahisa, who is thought to have been a vassal of the Akamatsu clan, agreed to half the amount of annual tributes for the manor, 180 kanmon, from the 360 kanmon he had previously agreed to, citing the recent increase in the amount of ara-kawanari (a type of river strait) and kawanari (a type of river strait), due to the recent increase in the amount of ara-kawanari (a type of river strait), etc. In 1521, Nakamura Norihisa agreed to the position of magistrate for 180 kanmon, but the conflict that began with the Akamatsu clan and their vassal Urakami Muramune intensified, and the amount of tributes did not arrive or declined dramatically.

美作国久米郡倭文郷（《和名抄》）に成立した京都賀茂別雷(かもわけいかずち)神社（上賀茂神社）領の荘園。現岡山県津山市の倭文川流域一帯に比定される。成立年代や上賀茂社領となった経緯は不明だが，1184年には同社領であった。当初は神主が領家職をもち，その一族が預所(あずかりどころ)職に補任されていたが，14世紀以後はおおむね神主が一円知行権を相伝。公文(くもん)職は1360年には倭文安房守が知行していたが，同年将軍足利義詮により美作国守護赤松貞範に与えられ，1392年には地頭職もその子顕則に与えられた。応仁・文明の乱のあった15世紀後半は上賀茂社の年貢収納は途絶え勝ちで，1489年，年貢30貫文が届いたときには到来始めの祝宴が行われている。このころから守護赤松氏の領国支配が一応平穏に維持されるようになるとともに年貢収納も安定し，16世紀初めには少なくとも毎年平均66貫文が収納されている。1513年赤松氏の被官と思われる大河原真久は，先に360貫文で請け負った当荘の年貢を近年の荒・河成(かわなり)などの増大を理由に，半分の180貫文で請け負っている。さらに1521年には中村則久が180貫文で代官職を請け切っているが，赤松氏とその被官浦上村宗の対立に端を発した戦乱が激化，年貢未進ないしは上納額の極端な低落状態が続いた。
