〘 noun 〙 An educational institution under the old system. Based on the Vocational Supplementary School Regulations enacted in 1893 , it provided vocational and general education supplementary lessons to working youth, but in 1935 it was merged with the Youth Training Center to become the Youth School. ※Tokyo Nichi Nichi Shimbun - October 6, 1893 ( Meiji 26 ) "In accordance with the spirit of the Elementary School Act, it was rebranded as a Vocational Supplementary School"
