Alloys used to repair teeth. Metal materials are used to fill holes left after the removal of damaged parts (inlays and amalgams), crowns to cover teeth, clasps to connect dentures to adjacent teeth, materials for denture bases, and for orthodontic treatment. Since a person's biting force can reach tens of kilograms and the teeth are repeatedly ground together, these materials need to be strong, and they must be relatively easy to form delicate dentures, have no dimensional changes during use, do not dissolve or deteriorate when exposed to saliva for long periods in the mouth, and do not cause harm to the human body.
