Rakugo. The fourth Tachibanaya Enkyo was a master of this style, and the fifth and sixth San'yutei Ensho inherited it. After a passionate love affair, the man married his wife, but her wife died. Before she died, the husband promised her, "If I take a second wife, please appear as a ghost on our wedding night." The man eventually remarries at the urging of others, but the ghost does not appear for a long time. After that, he has a child, and the third anniversary memorial service comes. That night, his first wife appears as a ghost. "Why didn't you appear earlier?" "When I died, your relatives made you a monk. I would have lost people's patience with you as a monk, so I waited until my hair grew long." In Kamigata Rakugo, it is called "Chazuke Ghost," and the ghost appears during the day while people are eating chazuke, so "Why doesn't it appear at night?" "It's scary at night."

落語。4代橘家円喬(たちばなやえんきょう)が得意とし、5代・6代の三遊亭円生(えんしょう)が継承した。大恋愛のすえ結婚したが、女房は死んでしまう。夫は妻が死ぬ前に「私が後妻をもらったら婚礼の夜に幽霊になって出ておいで」と約束する。男はやがて人の勧めで再婚するが、幽霊はなかなか出てこない。その後、子供が生まれ、3年目の法事を迎える。その夜、先妻が幽霊になって現れる。「なぜ、もっと早く出ないのか」「わたしが死んだとき、ご親戚(しんせき)で坊さんにしたでしょう。坊さんでは愛想(あいそ)をつかされるから、毛の伸びるまで待ってました」。上方(かみがた)落語では『茶漬(ちゃづけ)幽霊』といい、茶漬を食べている昼間に幽霊が出るので「なぜ夜出ないのか」「夜は怖い」。
