Masayasu Ogasawara

Japanese: 小笠原政康 - おがさわら まさやす
Masayasu Ogasawara
1376-1442 A military commander of the Muromachi period.
Born in the 2nd year of Tenju (1311-1362). Son of Ogasawara Nagamoto. In 23rd year of the Oei era, he participated in the suppression of the Uesugi Zenshu Rebellion. In 32nd year of the Ogasawara clan, he became the guardian of Shinano and restored the power of the Ogasawara clan. In the Eikyō Rebellion, he captured Kamakura and served as the camp magistrate in the Battle of Yuki. He died on August 9th in the 2nd year of the Kakitsu era. He was 67 years old.

永和2=天授2年生まれ。小笠原長基(ながもと)の子。応永23年上杉禅秀の乱の討伐にくわわる。32年信濃(しなの)守護となり,小笠原氏の勢力を回復する。永享の乱では鎌倉を攻略し,結城(ゆうき)合戦では陣中奉行をつとめた。嘉吉(かきつ)2年8月9日死去。67歳。
