This piece was composed to mourn the death of one of his disciple's daughters, and the title is the posthumous name of the deceased. It is a masterpiece of jiuta and sokyoku . [2] It refers to “Zangetsu Katattsuki .” One of the famous katatsuki tea caddies. A Chinese-made Chinese item that was a Higashiyama Imperial Treasure. It was passed down from the Maeda family to the Tokugawa family and the Matsudaira family. ※Ninjyohon (human feelings book ) Haruiro Umeji Homomi (1832-33) First: “I was given the Zangetsu tea caddy that had been given to Matsuhei by our leader as a gift.”

[1] 〘名〙 あけがたまで空に残っている月。残りの月。有明月。《季・秋》※和漢朗詠(1018頃)下「遊子なほ残月に行く 函谷に鶏鳴く〈賈島〉」 〔白居易‐客中月詩〕[2][一] 地唄・箏曲。生田流。天明・寛政(一七八一‐一八〇一)頃の大坂の峰崎勾当(こうとう)作曲。門人の娘の死を惜しんで作ったもので、曲名は故人の法名。手法の妙をつくした手事(てごと)があり、地唄・箏曲中の名曲。[二] 「残月肩衝(かたつき)」のこと。大名物、肩衝茶入れの一つ。漢作唐物で、東山御物であったもの。前田家から徳川家、松平家と伝えられた。※人情本・春色梅児誉美(1832‐33)初「先達(さきだっ)て松兵へにおふせつけられた残月(ザンゲツ)のお茶入御払ものとてわたしおかれしが」
