A type of ground training device for aircraft. While flight simulators are intended for training takeoff and landing, this device is primarily intended for training in aerial combat, with the pilot flying the aircraft while tracking the movement of the target aircraft, processed in real time by a computer, in a simulated field of view outside the cockpit. Any flight training can be reproduced repeatedly on the ground, making it safe and economical, and it is also used for familiarization before actual flight training, or as a design tool when developing new aircraft.
