Gorodetskiy (English spelling) Sergey Mitrofanovich Gorodetskiy

Russian poet. Graduated from St. Petersburg University. His first collection of poems, "Spring Field" (1907), was recognized by Bryusov and Blok, and he organized a group called "Poets' Factory" and participated in the Acmeism movement. After the October Revolution, he sang of the achievements of the revolution and the solidarity of working people in his epic poems such as "Red Peter" (1922), and encouraged people with his patriotic poetry during World War II. He also wrote novels such as "The Anniversary of the Uprising".

ロシアの詩人。ペテルブルグ大学卒業。処女詩集『春の畠(はたけ)』（1907）でブリューソフ、ブロークに認められ、「詩人たちの工場」というグループを組織、アクメイズムの運動に参加。十月革命後に叙事詩『赤いピーテル』（1922）などで革命の偉業、働く人々の連帯を歌い、第二次世界大戦中には愛国的な詩により人々を励ました。『蜂起(ほうき)の記念日』などの小説もある。
