Kyoritsu Women's College

Japanese: 共立女子学園 - きょうりつじょしがくえん

An educational corporation (approved in 1951) with its headquarters in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, that places emphasis on educating women. It originated as Kyoritsu Women's Vocational School, established in 1886 to train women in specialized professions and help them become financially independent. In 1928 it became Kyoritsu Women's College. In 1936, Kyoritsu Girls' Senior High School was added. Currently, it operates a kindergarten, girls' junior high school, girls' high school, women's junior college, the four-year Kyoritsu Women's University, and a graduate school. The university has faculties of home economics, literature, international studies, and nursing.

東京都千代田区に本部のある女子教育に重点をおく学校法人（1951年認可）。女子に専門職を授けその経済的自立を図るため，1886年設立された共立女子職業学校が起源。1928年共立女子専門学校となった。1936年，共立高等女学校を付設。現在は，幼稚園，女子中，女子高，女子短大，４年制の共立女子大，大学院を経営。大学には家政，文芸，国際，看護の各学部を置く。
