League of Corinth - League of Corinth
Also known as the Hellatic League. In 337 BCE, after the Battle of Chaeronea, King Philip II of Macedon convened all of Greece except Sparta in Corinth to form the league. It stipulated that each city should have free autonomy, mutual non-aggression, the maintenance of existing governments, and the protection of private property, and decided to subjugate Persia. After the death of Philip II, his son Alexander the Great became the leader.
