Gu-wen-ci lei-zuan (Anthology of Classical Literature)

Japanese: 古文辞類纂 - こぶんじるいさん（英語表記）Gu-wen-ci lei-zuan

An anthology of classical Chinese prose. Compiled by Yao of the Qing Dynasty. 74 volumes. Completed in 1779 (44th year of the Qianlong era). A carefully selected collection of classical prose from pre-Qin to Yao's contemporaries Fang Bao and Liu Dakai, categorizing them into 13 categories: argument, preface, memorial, commentary, commentary, imperial decree, letter, epigraph, miscellaneous, inscription, eulogy, eulogy, citation, and lament. Each category is accompanied by a discussion of the origins of the style. It was later criticized for being a little too narrow in scope, but to that extent the selection was mostly appropriate and was widely used as a reference for composing. This classification has also become the standard for subsequent classifications of classical prose. During the Guangxu era, Wang Xianqian and Li Shuochang successively edited sequels, which also included writings from the Qianlong era onwards, as well as classics, historical biographies, and writings from various philosophers.

中国，古典散文の選集。清の姚鼐 (ようだい) の編。 74巻。乾隆 44 (1779) 年成立。先秦から姚鼐とほとんど同時代の方苞 (ほうほう) ，劉大かい (りゅうだいかい) にいたる古典散文から厳選し，論弁，序跋，奏議，書説，贈序，詔令，伝状，碑誌，雑記，箴銘，頌讃，辞賦，哀祭の 13に分類，それぞれの文体について源流などの考察を付して編集したもの。のち，選ぶ範囲がやや狭いという批判を受けたが，そのかぎりにおいてはほぼ妥当な選択であり，文章をつくるうえでの参考に広く利用された。その分類も，その後の古典散文分類の基準とされている。光緒になって，王先謙と黎庶昌 (れいしょしょう) が相次いでその続編を編集し，乾隆以後，および広く経書，史伝，諸子の文章も収めた。
