Peacock-pheasant (little peacock)

Japanese: コクジャク(小孔雀) - コクジャク（英語表記）peacock‐pheasant

A general term for birds of the Polyplectron genus in the Phasianidae family of the Phasianidae order. Six species are known: the Blue-banded Polyplectron (Sumatra), the Red Polyplectron (Malay Peninsula), the Brown Polyplectron (Indochina), the Grey Polyplectron (Assam, Myanmar, Indochina, Hainan), the Palawan Polyplectron (Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Borneo), and the Palawan Polyplectron (Palawan). Males are 50-60cm long, have 2-4 claws, a slender body, and a long tail, and display with their wings and tails spread out during the breeding season.
