Sanbaso - Puppet

Nagauta Shosakuto. Original title: Yanagi no Itohiku Yagohiiki. Composed by Kineya Yajuro IV and others. Lyrics by Shinoda Sasuke. First performed in 1853. It is said to be an adaptation of Hatsuyagura Tanemaki Sanbaso, which premiered in Osaka the previous year. The idea is to show Sanbaso through string manipulation. 長唄所作事。本名題《柳糸引御摂(やなぎのいとひくやごひいき)》。４世杵屋弥十郎ほか作曲。篠田瑳助(さすけ)作詞。1853年初演。前年に大坂で初演された《初櫓豊歳三番叟(はつやぐらたねまきさんばそう)》の改作という。三番叟を糸操りで見せる趣向。当初はぜんまい人形を擬した振りを付けるなど，大衆的な舞踊曲として意図された。
