Credit agency - Koushinjo

Japanese:
Credit agency - Koushinjo

An agency that investigates the credit of companies and individuals. It is said to have been started by the Englishman Perry in 1830. In Japan, the first was the Commercial Credit Agency, which was opened in Osaka in 1892 (Meiji 25) by Toyama Shuzo. This was followed by the Tokyo Credit Agency in 1896 and the Imperial Credit Agency in 1900 (Meiji 33). In commercial and industrial transactions, there are limitations and omissions when investigating the other party on one's own, so there is a high demand for credit agencies that are trusted and organized. With the diversification of information formats, there are many agencies that do marketing research, data banks, and management consulting, but in a broad sense, these can also be called credit agencies. Meanwhile, personal credit investigations have also diversified, ranging from investigations of the other party's financial status and background to investigations of conduct unrelated to transactions, searches for runaways, and tail reports, and many of those that focus on these areas of business call themselves "detective agencies."
